Theyuse an open port and a solid polymer gel electrolyte. This assures a free flow of ions and quick response even in thick slurries, which kill ordinary electrodes. It also eliminates the need for a pressurized housing and electrolyte refills. Temperature range of 0 to 110°C allows you to leave electrode in place during typical batching cycles. pH range: 2 to 14 extends to highly alkaline conditions. Conversion is simple, using existing housings already installed on your equipment. Xerolyt electrodes cannot be cleaned with pressurized steam. Because open port may allow penetration of material into electrode body, complete sterility may be difficult to attain. User must determine suitability. Adapter sold separately.
