Nelson-Jameson is on a growth path, and our new Jerome, Idaho Distribution Center is a key part of it. We moved our Twins Falls, Idaho operations to our brand new facility in Jerome in January, and we’re celebrating this important milestone with festivities in May, 2024.
Growing Forward
The Jerome facility is our fifth U.S. distribution center, and we built it from the ground up, with thought behind every feature and fixture. We work with more than 1,000 vendors to offer more than 78,000 products, and we knew we needed a custom-built distribution home in Idaho Magic’s Valley to provide the highest level of customer support as we continue growing our reach of distribution and service across the country.
Custom-Built for the Future
The Jerome distribution center is the company’s most technologically-advanced facility to date, encompassing over 45,000 square feet. It has approximately 1.5 million cubic feet of combined storage, office space, refrigerated storage areas, and a dedicated service and maintenance area. The distribution center was designed to accommodate growth and meet our customers’ needs while upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Designed for Sustainability
The center’s sustainable design includes architecturally-imbedded energy-saving features, such as high-efficiency HVAC systems and electronically-controlled warehouse ventilation. These customizations will help us meet our ambitious environmental goals to reduce our carbon footprint and advance sustainability within the broader food processing sector.
Integrated in Idaho
We’re proud to be supporting Idaho’s dairy and agriculture industries and the statewide economy. According to the Idaho Department of Commerce, the state’s food processing industry generated $2.9 billion in gross domestic product (GDP) for the state in 2023, and currently employs more than 19,000 workers. When we outgrew our Twin Falls location, we looked for a nearby location so we could stay in the area. Jerome has been a fantastic community partner throughout the process – from our purchase of 19 acres in 2019 to the groundbreaking in 2022 and the move-in date in 2024.
Grand Opening Festivities
In Nelson-Jameson style, we’re celebrating by including the local community. The official grand opening on May 3rd is open to the public, and includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, open house, speeches, a welcome reception, giveaways, and more! Sign up here to attend!
