1/4"- 20 Stainless Steel Phillips Truss Head Machine Screw

Constructed with stainless steel, the Phillips truss head machine screw is a lower profile than pan head screws. The truss head is an over-sized head with undercut bottom to provide better clearance from the cutting tool. Low-profile domed top is more decorative and less likely to snag fabric or material. It features a deeper head to permit a deep recess which allows for them to be well-suited to a slot drive. The machine screw distributes the force of the screw over a wider surface. The 18-8 stainless steel material is rust and corrosion resistant in applications exposed to freshwater moisture. Coarse thread allows more material to settle between the threading which makes it harder for this type of screw to cross thread or strip. Easier to install than a fine thread, the coarse thread is less likely to gall or seize during tightening.
