The rust-proof, sturdy, and stable polycarbonate base has a 7.9 mm diameter stainless steel support rod secured to it. The offset rod mounts to the 20.8 cm diameter base, leaving room for larger vessels. Autoclavable at 121°C. Clamps are sold separately.
