For an economical solution to biohazard waste disposal, use Bel-Art Scienceware® Biohazard Disposal Bags which can be autoclaved at 121°C or 135°C and discarded. Red bags are autoclavable at 121°C and clear bags at 135°C. The bags are .03 mm (.0012") thick and made from material which meets or exceeds the dart-impact test requirement of 165 grams per ASTM D1709-98.
The sterilization patch darkens when subjected to steam sterilization. The bags are printed with the standard biohazard warning symbol and precautionary procedures in four languages: English, German, French, and Spanish.
