Clean Logix ASV50 Anti-Siphon Valve, 1/2" NPT, PVDF Body, 316 SS Spring, 5 PSI Opening Pressure, 1 Each

Clean Logix ASV50 Anti-Siphon Valve is a cutting-edge solution for preventing siphoning in liquid transfer systems, especially for chemicals and other critical solutions.
The primary role of the ASV50 is to prevent fluids from being siphoned back into the source, like a chemical tank, due to suction in the outlet line. This is essential for avoiding contamination of the source and ensuring safe handling of hazardous materials.
Constructed from PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride), this valve boasts excellent chemical resistance and durability. Its ability to withstand various temperatures makes it suitable for various chemical applications without degradation.
The 5 PSI opening pressure (also referred to as "cracking pressure") ensures that the valve allows fluid flow only when the inlet line pressure reaches a minimum of 5 pounds per square inch. This feature mimics the function of a check valve, promoting safe fluid handling.
Maximum pressure is 80 PSI. Dimensions are 3-3/4" x 2-7/8" x 3-5/8".
The spring mechanism, made of 316 stainless steel, offers outstanding corrosion resistance, making it ideal for harsh chemical environments. This non-wetted spring accurately controls the diaphragm's opening and closing, ensuring reliable operation under demanding conditions.
An integrated shield prevents spray in case of diaphragm failure, providing an added layer of safety in hazardous environments.
With a larger inlet and improved flow characteristics, the ASV50 outperforms traditional anti-siphon valves, making it an ideal choice for various fluid systems.
The ASV50 is perfect for pump dispense systems, effectively stopping chemicals from being siphoned back into the supply tank when pumps stop. Additionally, it is an essential component in Clean-in-Place (CIP) injection applications, preventing back-siphoning while injecting cleaning solutions.
The diaphragm can be selected from three material options: EPDM, silicone, or Viton®, each specifically suited for various applications.
Disclaimer: This valve does not prevent "backflow" of solution. It is not a check valve. The intended purpose of the ASV is to only prevent suction from the outlet side. Backflow can still occur. This valve does NOT prevent siphoning from gravity-head pressure greater than 5 PSI. Use cases outside of this, or inaccurate installation, may result in backflow and siphoning.
