Recognized as one of the hottest chiles, habanero peppers are small but powerfully strong, making them a favorite ingredient among hot sauces and other spicy foods.

These fresh and super hot peppers are diced into 1/8" chunks for a bright and consistent pasty mixture. Grown and harvested in Mexico where the pepper can thrive in heat, the habanero pepper is orange in color with a scattering of creamy seeds. Hotter than the jalapeno, habanero peppers produce a very high rating on the Scoville Scale with a heat index starting above 20,000.

Peppers are de-stemmed by hand for fewer seeds and no woody centers. Never cooked, the texture remains as when processed. Habanero peppers are color-sorted to eliminate any undesirable colors.
