The tubes are constructed from high-quality polypropylene, which provides excellent impact strength and stability against common acids, alkalis, and solvents. Polystyrene tubes can withstand centrifugation speeds of up to 1500 RPM. In comparison, polypropylene tubes can handle speeds of up to 3000 RPM. Additionally, polypropylene tubes are autoclavable and suitable for freezing.
