IFM Magnetic Switch Sensor MGT200 is a threaded, cylindrical magnetic proximity sensor used in industrial automation and other applications to detect the presence or absence of a magnetic object (usually a permanent magnet) without making physical contact and then switches an electrical output accordingly. 

The 70 mm sensing range can detect magnets over long distances, even through non-magnetizable materials like stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, or wood.
