Loctite 243 is a primerless and medium-strength, oil-tolerant threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners between 1/4" and 3/4".

Engineered for versatility, the powerful adhesive provides a reliable solution for both active metals, such as brass and copper, and passive substrates, like stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces. The formula excels in environments with minor surface contaminations from cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion, and protection fluids, making it an ideal choice for applications that are exposed to various oils without the need for prior cleaning. 

The chemical compound excels in preventing fastener loosening in vibrating assemblies like pumps, gearboxes, and presses, enhancing equipment reliability and safety in demanding conditions. Its thixotropic nature minimizes liquid migration post-application, securing a robust, medium-strength bond that can withstand temperatures ranging from -55.0 °C to 180.0 °C (-65.0 °F to 360.0 °F). Designed for ease of use, it can be applied via a dispensing gun, system, or manually, and cures in just 10 minutes for efficient operations.
