Pall Laboratory Vacushield™ Fluid Side Gelman Filter

This disposable protective device is designed to prevent the contamination of vacuum pumps or aspiration suction systems by aqueous liquids and aerosols. It allows for high airflow rates while maintaining bacterial retention without compromising pump efficiency. The device is non-sterile and can be autoclaved or sterilized using ethylene oxide (ETO).

The filter features a hydrophobic, microporous PTFE membrane that achieves 99.97% retention of di-octyl phthalate (D.O.P.) particles, specifically those that are 0.3 µm in size in the air. It comes with a polypropylene housing and has stepped hose barb connections ranging from 6.4 to 12.7 mm (¼ - ½ inch), with an internal taper designed to accept a male Luer fitting.
