Jenna Ponshock developed an affinity for the industry very early, having grown up on a dairy farm. However, she realized that her strengths and interests lay in a different direction than farming itself.
Jenna serves the industry as the Director of Product Management at Nelson-Jameson. In this role, she is laser-focused on enhancing innovation, working closely cross-departmentally to streamline procedures and improve communication. Her responsibilities include setting strategic goals, improving procurement processes, and developing programs to drive growth and efficiency.
Prior to her role as Director of Product Management at Nelson-Jameson, she also held positions as product manager, department manager, and associate director of product management. Jenna has a degree in management, which equipped her with the skills to support and enhance the dairy industry in a meaningful way.
Her learning has continued during her time at Nelson-Jameson. Starting as an assistant product manager, she learned the intricacies of janitorial and sanitation products in the food processing industry. She used those skills to expand the janitorial and sanitation category by introducing new items and suppliers, implementing growth incentive programs, and developing relationships with manufacturing partners. She also enhanced procurement and procedural efficiencies by sourcing items through strategic suppliers.
