Kelsey
Food Safety & Quality Specialist | East
It’s an honor and a privilege to serve the food and beverage industry in this position. I have absolutely loved not only educating but also continuously learning alongside many of our customers. Customers have turned into friends, and it’s incredible to see everyone in it for the same mission—to provide safe food.
Getting her start with an education focused on microorganisms, chemistry, and the lab, Kelsey was able to seamlessly transition to the food-processing industry, where she has spent the better part of the past decade.
In her Food Safety & Quality Specialist role with Nelson-Jameson, she helps guide customers through selecting proper equipment and testing based on their production and testing needs, offers technical product expertise, and continues to provide training and support on usage and lab operations. Kelsey is focused on bringing education and guidance to the food industry and playing a crucial role in ensuring safe food is released to the public for all sized operations.
She spends much of her time on-site supporting food safety labs, helping troubleshoot customer obstacles, providing education through training and visits, exploring new options for testing needs, and answering any laboratory-related questions.
Before her time with Nelson-Jameson, Kelsey held various positions, such as laboratory manager, laboratory technician, and aquaculture technician.
Kelsey is currently a Board Member at Large for the Wisconsin Lab Association (WLA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology - Aquatic Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She has also been featured in Food Safety & Quality Magazine and Quality Assurance Magazine.
