Shat-R-Shield® T8 48" LED Bulb

The easiest way to upgrade from conventional fluorescent lighting to energy efficient LED's. These bulbs fit into existing fixtures and are available in multiple power source options including plug and play, ballast bypass or dual mode which offers versatility of both. The plug and play bulbs are compatible with electronic instant start ballasts whereas the ballast bypass versions operate by sending line voltage directly to the bulb holders, providing a retrofit solution for T5, T8 or T12's. Shat-R-Shield's polymer safety coating is applied using zero gap technology, meaning the skin tight plastic coating adheres directly to the bulb and leaves zero room for heat buildup that would otherwise deteriorate the material and jeopardize its ability to contain all glass if accidentally broken. The safety coating reduces light output by less than 1% and is guaranteed not to yellow, crack or flake for the rated life of the bulb. 5,000 kelvin.
