Watts® LF009 Reduced Pressure Zone Assembly, Backflow Preventer Valve, 2" FNPT, 1 Each
This reduced pressure zone assembly is designed to protect potable water supplies in compliance with national plumbing codes and water authority regulations. It can be applied in various installations, including the prevention of health hazard cross-connections in piping systems, as well as ensuring containment at service line entrances, irrigation systems, boiler feeds, water lines, and other applications requiring maximum protection. The compact modular design allows for easy maintenance and access during assembly.
This product features a lead-free bronze body that is enhanced with ArmorTek™ coating technology. This coating effectively helps prevent corrosion caused by microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protects exposed metal surfaces. The design includes two independent in-line check valves, captured springs, and replaceable check seats, as well as an intermediate relief valve. Its large body passages facilitate a low pressure drop. Additionally, it has quarter-turn full-port resilient seated ball valve shutoffs. Includes silicone valve discs and plastic valve seats. The valve operates within a temperature range of 33°F to 180°F (0.5°C to 82°C).
The sanitary valve meets ANSI 61 Annex G, ASSE 1013, AWWA C-511, and CSA B64.4 standards and is also BAA compliant.
