Watts LF288A Vacuum Breaker is exceptionally crafted with anti-siphon technology to stop and prevent the reverse flow of contaminated water caused by negative pressure from flowing into the clean water supply.

Equipped with a lightweight and robust "disc float," the vacuum breaker can endure temperatures up to 180° F (82° C). The disc float promptly seals the atmospheric vent to avoid leakage, making it highly suitable for applications with low water usage, such as laboratory equipment. The silicone disc, known for its resistance to high temperatures and water hammer shocks, ensures a secure seal with minimal contact force.

The full-size orifice maintains optimal water and ensures the system can manage the expected volume of water without unnecessary restrictions and significant pressure drops. With minimal pressure loss and reduced chances of blockage, the full-size orifice can lead to reduced energy consumption, promoting lower operational costs over time. 

An essential feature of the LF288A Vacuum Breaker is its lead-free brass construction, which aligns with lead-free regulatory standards. Lead-free brass is crucial for both health and environmental reasons, ensuring the continued safety and purity of drinking water. With more corrosion resistance than parts made with lead, it reduces the risk of metals dissolving into the water and adds to the part's lifespan.
