Watts® LF909 Series, 3/4" Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer, Lead Free Bronze, Quarter Turn, LF909-QT

Watts LF909-QT is a 3/4" lead-free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer designed to safeguard the potable water supply from contaminated water entering due to backsiphonage and backpressure. This LF909 series can be used in various installations, including health hazard cross-connections in plumbing systems or containment at the service line entrance, ensuring water remains safe for consumption and use. 

For ease of operation, the backflow preventer features a quarter turn shutoff valve can be fully opened or closed with a just a quarter turn, making it faster and more efficient compared to multi-turn valves. The simplicity of the design is particularly beneficial when quick action is needed in a rapid response to stop the flow of water in an emergency. 

The Watts backflow preventer complies with national plumbing codes and water requirements, allowing easy maintenance and in-line repairs. Installation can be horizontal or vertical without special tools, making it ideal for continuous pressure piping applications.

Consisting of a lead-free bronze body, the LF909-QT also contains check modules, replaceable seats, top-mounted test cocks, and a pressure differential relief valve. It also features a unique patented air-in and water-out design for high-capacity relief valve discharge performance during emergencies.
