Whirl-Pak® Speci-Sponge® Bags Hydrated with Gloves

Designed for environmental surface sampling, work areas, equipment, animal carcasses, and any other place where testing for Listeria, Salmonella, E.coli, and other food-borne pathogens is required. Speci-Sponge bags are 18-oz and meet the criteria stated in the Compendium of Methods for the Microbiological Examination of Foods regarding sponge contact methods by providing a sterile plastic bag to place the sample for transportation to the lab. Pre-moistened sponges contain neutralizing buffer with sodium thiosulfate to neutralize residual chlorine sanitizer. Choose bags without buffer and add letheen broth diluent (443-3002). Simply open bag, moisten 1-1/2" x 3" sponge with either buffer or diluent, wipe surface to obtain sample, reseal bag, and send to the laboratory.
