Chestnut Center for the Arts

Imagine. Create. Inspire.

In 2003, a historic downtown building was transformed into a community arts center—where anyone could explore different art forms or discover new interests and artists. Chestnut Center for the Arts offers year-round workshops and skill classes to encourage individuals to learn a new skill or refine an old one. Local artists' passions are highlighted through open art galleries, promoting and nurturing visual artists and exposing them to art enthusiasts and collectors alike. In addition to having rental spaces available for teaching, rehearsing, or meeting, the Chestnut Center features "The Chapel of Chestnut" for weddings and receptions. Engage the soul in experiencing art's genuine benefits that connect thoughts, feelings, and reality.

Foundation Mission

The Nelson-Jameson Foundation (NJF) is focused on supporting philanthropic organizations that enhance our core value as a Golden Rule Company. Grants are targeted toward charitable programs that are related to the food and dairy industries or support charities that are important to Nelson-Jameson employees and the communities in which they reside.
