"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."— Leo Buscaglia

Community is essential - As humans, we need a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose. We deeply need the connections that keep us united with others, the connection that keeps us united with ourselves. For older individuals, community isn't just important; it is a necessity. In togetherness, there is a feeling of something bigger that provides meaning to our lives beyond our names and where we live.
