The University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) has one of the nation's most comprehensive dairy science programs. There is a critical need for renovating the dairy plant and updating food safety standards. The 6,000-plus square foot space is being renovated to create a new Dairy Plant that will provide a spacious venue for more effective learning, teaching, and training. The new plant will have three times as much production capacity. The updated equipment will give UWRF graduates a competitive edge by familiarizing them with a wide range of industry equipment and practices. The renovated dairy plant will also include a state-of-the-art training room, allowing the campus to expand training programs for the dairy industry, including cheesemaker training, pasteurizer operator, and various food safety courses. Nelson-Jameson is proud to provide additional funding to the renovation project and is excited to continue focusing on its mission of creating safe, quality food.
