Food and Beverage Processing Distributor Prioritizes Community Philanthropy and Investment in People
MARSHFIELD, WI - December 14, 2023 | Food and beverage processing distributor Nelson-Jameson announced details of its philanthropic program this year with contributions from the Nelson-Jameson Foundation (NJF). Nelson-Jameson launched NJF in September 2022 as a 501(c)(3) private foundation to formalize its longstanding culture of philanthropy and community stewardship. Since then, NJF has provided direct donations, volunteer-based support, scholarships, matching gifts, and financial grants to more than 20 non-profits and charitable organizations in the greater Marshfield, Wisconsin area and across the nation.

The certification evaluates a company’s culture from an employee perspective and recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience.
To be considered for certification, organizations must have 10 or more employees and complete a Trust Index Survey and Culture Brief™. Positive employee responses to the Trust Index Survey (four and above on the five-point scale) are averaged to provide a company-wide culture assessment: the Trust Index. Companies that score above the current threshold become Great Place To Work Certified.

Amarillo achieves top global safety and quality certification
MARSHFIELD, WI – December 06, 2023 | Nelson-Jameson, a leading food processing distributor, announced that its Amarillo, Texas, strategic distribution center earned a 100% score in its first Safe Quality Food (SQF) audit. An SQF registered site indicates a company’s commitment to providing quality products that are safely received, handled, stored, and delivered. A 100% score represents the highest level of safety and quality.
The Eagle Certification Group, an independent certification company authorized by SQF, conducts the audits in adherence to the globally acknowledged industry standards set by SQF.

MARSHFIELD, WI - December 4, 2023 | The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield will benefit from a $10,000 gift from a longtime Marshfield business whose founder had a historic role on campus.
The Nelson-Jameson Foundation presented a check to the UWSP Foundation on Nov. 29. The gift is funding need-based scholarships as well as a special project to celebrate the campus’ 60th anniversary in 2024.
The Nelson-Jameson company and UWSP at Marshfield campus have a founder in common.
“In the 1960s, Earl Nelson, the founder of Nelson-Jameson, recognized the significant impact a UW campus would have on Marshfield’s educational, cultural and economic landscape,” said Amanda Nelson Sasse, vice president of Philanthropy and Social Impact at Nelson-Jameson. “His unwavering dedication led to the realization of this vision. Since then, Nelson-Jameson has fostered a strong connection with the campus, and we take pride in contributing to the future of the campus
